#3 - [REVIEW] Asian Kung Fu Generation live in London

Updated: Jan 22, 2023

On November 8th, 2015, Asian Kung Fu Generation (AKFG) brought their unique brand of rock to the o2 Islington Academy in London. Fans from all over Europe had come to see the band perform live, and they were not disappointed. The doors opened at 8pm and a crowd of around 400 fans began making their way into the venue.

Once the band took the stage, they immediately energized the crowd with their opening song "Easter." The lead singer, Gotch, had the crowd laughing with his introduction of the band , guitarist Kensuke Kita, bassist Takahiro Yamada, drummer Kiyoshi Ijichi and ending with a playful comment "My name is Gotch...I'm not Harry Potter." The band then proceeded to play a mix of older and newer songs, with the crowd dancing, playing air guitar, and singing along. The energy in the room was positive and happy throughout the night.

The band's performance was outstanding, each member showcased their talents and the chemistry between them was evident. The crowd was especially impressed with the band's guitar work, bass and drums. The sound was clear and crisp and the lighting was perfect for the show.

All in all, it was an unforgettable show and the band proved that they are still at the top of their game. The fans left the venue with big smiles on their faces, already looking forward to their next concert. AKFG's London show was a huge success, and I would highly recommend seeing them live to any fan of rock music.
